The New Book of Transformations (2017), the author distinguishes the selfidentification process of the lyrical hero, who is a product of the imperial period, typified by bilingual and bicultural intentions. The article deals with the lyrical prose by the modern poet Sandzhar Yanyshev. Accordingly, the work demonstrates that the thickly woven opacity of a multifarious fabric is indeed capable of leaving a lyrically subtle imprint on the attentive reader. The “Eumaeus” episode presents textual constructions that employ marked conventions of speech and eminent syntactic arrangements besides the indeterminacy of “mood” and voice to defamiliarize correlations of perception, thought and emotion. As these threads intertwine and cut across one another, a poetic fabric develops that diverts attention to itself and reveals how prose can foster lyrical foregrounding. On the contrary, the prose epic of Ulysses subverts expectations concerning “mood”, voice and discursive conventions, yielding threads of lyrically opaque speech. ![]() The meanderings of speech from the opacity of narrative through chunks of silent thought to adopted discursive conventions do not leave the reader with the impression that they are facing a transparent narrative. The stylistic quirkiness of Ulysses is not only inconceivable but also unfathomable. The essence of lyric prose texts is determined by the lyrical architectonics of sensory-emotional and aesthetic integrity, which is motivated by poetic reflexems, representing a discursively conditioned scan of reality, passed through the prism of expressive-figurative perception of the egotope. That is why the concept of architectonics integrates two principles: a) the creative-discursive potential of text generation and b) a multi-vector palette of discursive consciousness, which is motivated by the experience of lyrical speech thinking. Through the prism of the architectonics of the text, the associative-figurative tonality of the semantic content of the artistic text is decoded. ![]() In cognitive linguopoetics, architectonics represents the semantic essence and integrity of the lyric prose text, since it is a discursive and pragmatic manifestation of its semantic continuum. The meaning-generating mechanisms of lyric prose texts are focused on reflecting the ego-perception of reality, which explicates the cultural and value attitudes of the author. The semantic space of lyric prose texts decodes images of cultural memory as an interpretive category of cognitive linguopoetics. The article examines the cognitive specificity of lyric prose texts as a product of discursive activity. ![]()
